70's Script

[Up on the screen comes the Art of Deco Logo of WORLD FILM INDUSTRIES. That FADES into an image of The Universe. In this MAIN TITLE SEQUENCE we see the endless reaches outer space. Very gradually, in what appears to be one continuous shot, we move in to one particular galaxy, towards one particular star with its solar system, toward the thid planet in that system, seeing eventually that it is the planet Earth with its moon. MUSIC: OPENING THEME. The music is incredibly pretentious orchestral theme, which gradually evolves, as we MOVE CLOSER AND CLOSER into a simpler, lovelier tune. CAMERA CONTINUES TO MOVE in on Western Illinois of the Earth, zeroing in northern United States, and eventually into a high HELICOPTER SHOT over a town in the deep north. As the CREDITS come to an end, we MOVE IN LOW over an open glade in dense town. We SEE a small figure. IT is a house . The CAMERA CONTINUES TO MOVE CLOSER. EXT. TOWN - DAY - AT GROUND - LEVEL MOVING IN CLOSE ON THE HOUSE Inside the house, we see a 15 year old named Jerry Rex do air guitar while listen to Elvis Presley record in his room.]

Jerry's mother: Danny your bus is here time for school you don't want to be late do you.

Jerry: OK mom!

[Jerry grab his electric guitar and backpack and head toward school.]

[Cut to High School]

[School Bell rings]

[Inside at the school play zooming toward backstage we see Jerry and his band getting ready to perform for Talent Show. Jerry is fooling around with his guitar, until when 15 year old named Marcy Lang walk toward to chat.]

Marcy: You really have a way with words Danny.

Jerry: Hey, I'm been rehearsing.

Marcy: Jerry.

Jerry: Yeah Marcy?

[Marcy give Jerry a kiss]

Marcy: Go luck. (exists)

[Cut to auditorium an Hollywood agent enter and then take his seat hopefully to find a singer. Onstage The band's playing, Jerry start singing.]

♪♪ Jerry: If you wanna be a rock n' roll star. Be a cool dude wherever you are. All you gotta do is just do what I say. And go rolling... (Woah!) Don't forget the rocking. Rock and roll town. [Jerry fails on the first try]

[The agent impressed with Jerry's talent and decide to make him a rock and roll star.]

Agent: You, you there you with the guitar.

Jerry: Who me?

Agent: Yes you!

[The agent climb up the stage and encourages Jerry to pursue a career in show business.]

Agent: I like it, I love it what is your name.

Jerry: Um Jerry, Jerry Rex.

Agent: Well Jerry how you like become a star.

Jerry: A star!

Agent: Yes you see I'm agent from Hollywood.

Jerry: HOLLYWOOD did you say Hollywood? [Jerry have a surprise face]

Agent: Read my lip Hol-ly-wood my card. [The agent give Jerry his card say Kip Leonard.]

[The agent reach out his pocket take out a contract and his pen.]

Agent: Just sign this contract and you're a star, baby.

[Jerry looks back and forth from the contract to Marcy.]

Jerry: "I wanna be a star!"

Kip: Just sign here thank you. [Jerry sign the contract]

Kip: This way please.

Jerry: OK.

[Marcy have a surprise face. Outside Jerry goes with The agent in his limo, and becomes a star. When Jerry enter the limo he turn head toward the window and see Marcy have sigh face until Jerry and the agent start travels from Kokomo, Indiana to Hollywood in hopes of starting a career in flash cut to Hollywood, while shows credit on the screen: "Year Later." zooming toward a theater. Inside a crowd full of audience waiting the show to start until the announcer announce.]

Announcer: Lady and gentleman the King.

[Shining a spotlight on the stage audience applause the King come start singing reveal to be Jerry Rex his physical appearance 18 year old brown pompadour hair styled. Very big, white jumpsuit, to accentuate his muscles. Wears a pair of black sunglasses and black leather shoes.]

Kip: Hello, Hello this is Pinky Fizzback the King's manager can we get a little quiet here.

Jerry: is this wonderful.

Kip: No you got to sneak away find some that don't known you some place you can relax and get ready for the show.

Jerry: But this is all right I like it here.

Kip: No, no it won't do come King you s out the back way.

Jerry: Well if you say so.

[Jerry leave the build Cut to outside of the hotel the mobs are at the entree waiting for Jerry unaware they known Jerry in disguise drive out toward exist searching for a place for relax Jerry decide to go to his home town having made it there suddenly his convertible brakes down Jerry jump out of the convertible he open the front trunk and check engine.]

Jerry: Aw man this is cool were I'm get a mechanics around here.

[Jerry looks around turn his back and forth until he notices that he next to a mechanics garage.]

Jerry: Wow what luck.

[Cut to outside of mechanics garage the mechanics just fix Jerry's car.]

Jerry: Say thank man. [Jerry pay the mechanic]

Mechanic: No problem.

[Unaware outside of mechanics garage a 17 years old girl with golden long hair and sapphire blue eyes. She wears a pink crop-top shirt, a purple jacket, light blue jeans, and brown boots. When Jerry start back and leave the mechanics garage he notice Marcy and immediately stop.]

Jerry: It a little dangerous for you lady walking toward the road.

Marcy: Hmm white jumpsuit primary but it work in for a rock star kind of way let me guest your manager get you this.

Jerry: What?

Marcy: By away Jerry how is the show business.

[Telephone ring and Kip answer]

[Back at on road were Jerry and Marcy are catch up.]

Marcy: Just because I'm beautiful that doesn't me I'm dumb I been listing and watching you.

Marcy: Oh you known nothing new since you been to Hollywood.

Jerry: I forgot how pretty you look.

Cut a drive-in restaurant a waiter give Jerry and Marcy a basket with hamburger and french fries then give them the two smoothie. Cut a roller rink. Inside Jerry skates with Marcy. Cut a drive-in theater watch a movie on the screen. Cut a sign say Lovers' lane zooming at rural area we see Jerry and Marcy watch the sunset view.]

Marcy: Jerry.

Jerry: Yeah?

Marcy: Do you ever think about going home with me?

Jerry: Maybe you and me? I can't live without you, you know? It's , jus... agh! What do you do, huh? What do you do?

Marcy: Well, then...we're just going to have to pretend then, aren't we?

[Jerry and Marcy start making out.]

[Jerry get out his car start walking for fresh air]

[A spotlight shine on Jerry]

Police: FREEZE!

[Jerry look up and see a helicopter.]

Police Officer: Jerry Rex aka the King your arrested.

[Cut a prison. Inside we see Jerry in orange prison uniform inside a prison cell standing until he decide to up walk upon to cell bar window looking at the moon and starting to sing.]

[Approaching is Fizzback Jerry go to the concert.]

Kip: Come on King your fans is a wait. (grab Jerry's hand and take him to the limo existing out of prison.)

[Cut a limo driving a road at night. Inside limo Kip talking on the phone.]

Kip: Hello this is Kip here clling let you known the King is under way. (hang up the phone) Yo King baby are ready.

Jerry: No.

Kip: No, what you mean no?

Jerry: I mean I don't want do anymore concert I just want Marcy.

Kip: Listen that the contract you signed it wasn't an acting contract it was adoption forms so I own you now beside she doesn't love she love herself. (explains in a mean way)

[Cut a warehouse inside Marcy try to escape but the door is locked.]

Marcy: Let me out, let me out! (struggle)

Marcy: Great. [She leading up against the door]

[Marcy have a thought and realize she reach out her pocket take out a bobby pin and use it to un lock the door.]

[Cut a concert inside on stage Jerry getting ready the sadness. Unware Marcy sneaks into the concert and search for Jerry.]

Kip: What how she got out.

[Kip spot Marcy]

[Kip approaching to security]

Kip: Hay make sure she doesn't see the King. (whispering)

[Marcy keep searching for Jerry until he spot him rehearsing.]

[Shining a spotlight on the stage audience applause Jerry come start singing when the curtain is up.]

Kip: Well it won't work the public is to stupid to catch on so what if the contract you signed it wasn't an acting contract it was adoption forms and I kidnaps your girlfriend they sell me ton of money those idiot I got sweet racket going on here and won't stop me.

Police Officer: Kip Leonard you are under arrested.

Kip: Arresteding me for what?

Police Officer: For kidnaps and false advertising.
