A live-action/animated fantasy film

Plot

Dan is a shy 8-year-old boy with autism who can't seem filling in with the other, and as a result, ends up getting taken advantage of by everyone. He still recovering from the death of his grandmother, and divorce of his father he lived with his mother in a small town. Meanwhile, the will of Dan’s grandparents is the only proof that the town rightfully belongs to the neighborhood, yet a greedy landlord named Mr. P. Bigley cannot find it and has already made plans to demolish their house in order to build condominiums on the land, and turn into a parking lot. When he head to bed before falling asleep, he makes a wish on a star that save is neighborhood. One morning his mother has to work late so she leaves him with his sister in charge but she not a very good babysitter, because while their mother is out, she regularly relies on the telephone rather than doing her actual babysitting. When he heads to his room suddenly he fainted and the characters in the room emerges. Dan and the characters become friends. Dan explains that her mother and father are divorced and shares the emotions. Abby explains to him that she feels the same way and show him with wave her wand in magic. Dan tries to fit in at school the characters show Dan how to say no. A musical number "Wonderful Ways to Say No" the Sumrfs explore the place during the journey they overhears Bigley have the will whereupon they direct the Sumrfs to retrieve Dan. Now seeing that their home is in danger of being destroyed, With the help of friends They sneak back into Bigley‘s headquarters. Dan entreats Bigley's office and access the safe, but the document is missing. Bigley appears from behind him with the document in his hand. They manage to escape, but believe they have failed. The Chipmunks encourages him saying that maybe his mother is still "inside us, believing in him," and sings My Mother. Encouraged by Sweet, Dan rallies the characters to stop Bigley. When Dan and the Toons steals a four-wheeler in order to get to City Hall to stop Bigley arranging the demolition. The race to the palace seems to end with Bigley reach the City Hall first but they arrive to and crash into the window. When Bigley finally reaches the door, he finds himself trapped inside the storeroom instead whereas the toon attack the diver, then delivers a speech to Bigley on behalf of the characters. All the characters then disappear as soon as they hear the door open. As the police arrive Dan recovers the will from Bigley and shows it to Steady, proving Bigley's deceit and his plan to cheat the town. Bigley tries to explain his story, but Dan, unconvinced, arrests him for fraud and theft. Having obtained the will, Dan passes out. When he wakes up, he finds himself back in his room surrounded by his mother He realizes is just a dream or was it he sees the news about Bigley, arrested He walk the poster and thanks to Kermit and friends for help and go head to dinner.

This film is inspiration of Alex Kyle Randall.
